How to setup an anonymous FTP account?
Solution
Anonymous FTP access allows anyone to access your public_ftp folder from any location. This setting is useful if you want people to upload, download, view, or delete files from your public FTP site. To set up anonymous FTP access, follow these steps:
In CPanel, click on FTP Manager, then click on Setup Anonymous FTP Access.
Notice that you have two options:
Allow anonymous access to
ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com
. This option allows anyone to view, download, or delete files from your public_ftp folder.
Allow anonymous uploading to
ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/incoming.
This option allows anyone to upload, view, download, or delete files from your public_ftp folder.
Depending on your preference, make your selection(s), and click Save Settings.
